By the time you read this Geoff and Elizabeth Williams will have upped sticks and moved to Barnstaple in Devon. Geoff has been with the club since his son Richard joined as a 12 year old. Richard is now a teacher at Haileybury School. Geoff has been an oustanding coach with the club, an official at meetings winter and summer, and was manager at Barnet Copthall Stadium when the Club was responsible for running the Stadium. At last Sunday’s Hertfordshire cross country championships, Joyce Smith presented Geoff with an engraved Cut Glass Wine Goblet (Photograph’s attached) in recognition of his outstanding services to Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers. He will be sorely missed. Very best wishes to you both. Enjoy a relaxing retirement, you’ve earned it!
